Customer Verification (FICA / KYC) Policy
RN Bullion

1. Purpose
RN Bullion is committed to complying with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act No. 38 of 2001 (FICA) and all applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations in South Africa.
This Customer Verification Policy outlines the procedures RN Bullion follows to verify the identity of clients before completing certain transactions. These procedures help prevent money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and other unlawful activities.
2. When Verification Is Required
RN Bullion may require customer verification before:
- Completing certain purchases or transactions
- Establishing an ongoing business relationship
- Processing higher-value orders
- Processing transactions that present increased regulatory risk
- When required by South African law or regulatory authorities
RN Bullion reserves the right to request verification documents at any time where necessary for compliance purposes.
3. Individual Customers
Customers purchasing in their personal capacity may be required to provide the following information:
- Full name and surname
- South African ID number or passport (for foreign nationals)
- Residential address
- Contact details
- Proof of residential address (not older than 3 months)
Examples of acceptable proof of address include:
- Utility bill
- Bank statement
- Municipal account
- Official government correspondence
4. Business Customers
Where a purchase is made on behalf of a company, trust, or other legal entity, RN Bullion may request:
- Company registration documents
- Identification of directors or trustees
- Identification of beneficial owners
- Resolution or authority confirming the person acting on behalf of the entity
- Proof of business address
5. Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
Additional verification procedures may apply to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) or clients considered higher risk under FICA regulations.
RN Bullion reserves the right to apply Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) measures where required.
6. Transaction Monitoring
RN Bullion may monitor transactions to ensure they are consistent with the customer’s profile and comply with regulatory requirements.
Transactions that appear unusual, suspicious, or inconsistent with expected activity may be subject to further review or reporting to relevant authorities as required by law.
7. Refusal or Delay of Transactions
RN Bullion reserves the right to:
- Delay processing of an order until verification requirements are satisfied
- Cancel transactions where sufficient verification cannot be obtained
- Refuse transactions that present unacceptable compliance risk
8. Privacy and Data Protection
All personal information collected for verification purposes will be handled securely and used solely for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
RN Bullion will take reasonable steps to ensure that all client information is protected from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
